Kia Carnival 2022 Maps: US to EU

Hi community,

I imported my Kia Carnival some months ago from Canada. It came with US maps installed also all the Kia connect features are not working here in Germany.

Does anybody know how to overwrite US maps with EU maps?

I downloaded both actual updates (US for Carnival and EU for Sportage as there is no Carnival Version on the german website available) and compared the contents:

They look completely different, so no drag and drop possible...

Both cars: Carnival and Sportage us the same multimedia hardware (Gen 5W Nav) so I think my intension should work.

Kia support confirmed, that Nav software is independend from the car system software.

Ich habe meinen Kia Carnival vor einigen Monaten aus Kanada importiert. Es war mit installierten US-Karten ausgestattet und alle Kia Connect-Funktionen funktionieren hier in Deutschland nicht.

 

Weiß jemand, wie man US-Karten mit EU-Karten überschreibt?

 

Ich habe beide aktuellen Updates heruntergeladen (US für Carnival und EU für Sportage, da auf der deutschen Website keine Carnival-Version verfügbar ist) und den Inhalt verglichen:

 

Sie sehen völlig anders aus, daher ist kein Drag & Drop möglich ...

 

Beide Autos: Carnival und Sportage haben die gleiche Multimedia-Hardware (Gen 5W Nav), also denke ich, dass meine Absicht funktionieren sollte.

 

Der Kia-Support hat bestätigt, dass die Nav-Software unabhängig von der Systemsoftware des Fahrzeugs ist.
