EPC 4 Installieren

Hallo!
Hab mir von ebay EPC 4 besorgt und habe dazu eine liebe Anleitung auf englisch bekommen.
Bei einem Schritt verstehe ich nicht ganz was gemeint ist.
From the Folder "GMERomDB" we run th GMERomDB.msi and we copying the Data Base to our HDD
Vielleicht hat jemand Erfahrung beim EPC installiern.

Ganz einfach. Dadurch wird die Datenbase/Datenbestand auf deine Festplatte kopiert. Ist Standard.

Sprich ist der Satz eigentlich überflüssig?

Nein, das ist die Installationsanleitung. Normalerweise steht dort beschrieben, in welcher Reihenfolge installiert werden muss:
Ausführen (unbedingt diese Reihenfolge einhalten):
- im Ordner \GMGInfrastructure die Datei GMGInfrastructure.msi (Option: Standalone)
- im Ordner \GMEApplication die Datei GMEApplication.msi
- im Ordner \GMGLocalDB die Datei GMGLocalDB.msi
- im Ordner \GMERomDB die Datei GMERomDB.msi

Jetzt habe ich das Problem, dass ich die URL nicht finde
bzw. die was ich finde unter Start-Opel Vauxhall EPC-Show URL nicht funktioniert.
Wo könnte ich einen Fehler gemacht haben?

Java installiert??
nachdem Du die oben genannten Schritte durchgeführt hast, geht´s so weiter:
4. Ins Verzeichnis:
C:\Program Files\Snap-on Business Solutions\Global EPC\GM\Configurator - 32 bit
oder
C:\Programme\Snap-on Business Solutions\Global EPC\GM\Configurator - 32 bit DE
oder
C:\Program Files (x86)\Snap-on Business Solutions\Global EPC\GM\Configurator - 64 bit
wechseln und dort die Datei Configurator.jar mit Doppelklick starten.
Bis auf die kurzzeitige Anzeige der Cursor-Sanduhr ist dabei nichts zu sehen.
5. Neustart des Rechners
6. Start des Internet Explorers, Adresse: "http://127.0.0.1:351/PQMace" Möglicherweise muss der IE nochmals gestartet werden.
7. Teile suchen und finden

Leide kein Erfolg.
Das was mich so ärgert, dass ich schon vor Jahren alles hatte aber durch den Festplatten schaden alles verloren ging. Jetzt bei der Neuinstallation gibt es nur Probleme.

Nutzt DU auch den IE als Browser? Welche Version?

An sich Firefox. IE 11

Da dürfte das Problem liegen. Laut GM Beschreibung IE 8. Weiß nicht, ob es mit IE11 zurecht kommt. Firefox dürfte rausfallen. Ich selbst nutze es auf nen virtuellen XP mit IE8, da passt alles wunderbar. Offiziell geht folgendes (Stand 2010):
Windows XP Professional (32-bit) SP3
Windows Vista Business (32-bit) SP1
Windows Vista Business (32-bit) SP2
Windows 7 Business professional (32 bit)
Internet Explorer 7
Internet Explorer 8

Also bei mir läuft das EPC 4 auf Windows 10 mit IE 11 ohne Probleme, mit Windows Edge funktioniert es nicht.

Mein EPC 4.25 hat Probleme mit der aktuellen Java 8 Version. OS Win 7 32Bit. Letzte funktionierende Java Version ist 7 Update 45. Obwohl ich die Update Funktion deaktiviert habe, will Java ein Update und blockiert seine Funktion während das EPC im IE aufgebaut wird.
Ich habe die Version 8 installiert und die EPC Adressen in den Ausnahmen frei gegeben, leider ohne Erfolg. Hat jemand eine Lösung?

So habe ich es installiert, und es läuft unter WIN 10 IE11.

Es ist immer wenig Fachwissen erforderlich, Batch, Ports etc.

8. Open IE and enter the address of the code:

dazu gibt es eine Batch die man

anpassen

und dann laufen lässt vor dem Starten.

Hallo, ist es möglich EPC 4 auch offline zu nutzen

Kommt drauf an.
Es gibt verschiedene Arten vom Opel EPC.
Wenn Standalone Version dann aber nur eingeschränkt.
