Car wash - Why N in Focus Automatic
Hello.
I have read a lots of topics now about and when you have to use N in the gearbox.
I dont understand why using N - maybe im stupid.
But why not P turn off The car and push handbrake. Then get out of the car and start the carwash?
Thank you

Depends on the carwash. I you use the carwash where your car is dragged by rails, then you use N and mostly just sit in your car and roll through the carwash.
If you just park the car in the carwash where there is nothing that will pull or drag the car, then you can use P and handbrake.
Hello,
here germany we have a lot of car washes where you're sitting in the car and the car gets moved through the Carwash. In such Carwashes the tyres must be able to roll, so you need the "Neutral Gear" at the Automatic.

Hope that helps. Regards, der.bazi
Thank you so much, that makes sense.
Here in Denmark you have to get out of the car, and the car will stand still.
Thanks again
