This is the built my friend did last summer.

The electrical system is being replaced and the brakes are fitted.

The exhaust is being build and the girlfriend is trying on TIG-welding.

Sorry, but why are you doing this?
Why you don t buy an e46 compact, today they are realy cheap. A new color and the bumpers, headlights and a lot of e46 parts cost a lot of money. And then you put a diesel engine in your refurbished e36/e46 compact. I think its a lot of work for this project

You re right, but why the 6cyl diesel engine and not a great six cylinder like a 2,5 or 2.8i

?

This is the car when it's more or less done. The right (left) side is missing the rear wheel arc as you can see...

So viel Arbeit, und dann wird immer die Hechstoßstange vegessen. Wenn ich einen Breitbau mache, muss die auch angeglichen werden.
