Navi Plus schon erhältlich in der Schweiz
Ich habe meinen 8P bestellt mit Navi Plus.
Habe hier ja gelesen dass es erst ab Januar erhältlich sein soll und hab meinen Händler entsprechend darauf angesprochen. Er sagte nur, es sei lieferbar.
Ist das in der Schweiz anders?
Nebenbei: Es ist hier auch im Configurator anwählbar...
Hat jemand sonst erfahrung diesbezüglich oder Informationen wie es wirklich ist?

Hi Mango,
das habe ich den AUDI-Mitarbeiter auf der IAA auch gefragt. Der hat gesagt es sei unmöglich, dass es in der Schweiz schon lieferbar sei. Hab ihn auch darauf hingewiesen, dass es im Konfigurator drinnen steht, aber das hat ihn nicht erschüttert, er blieb dabei, dass es den neuen A3 erst ab Anfang 2004 mit dem neuen NAVIPlus gibt. Berichte doch mal was dein Händler dir sagt. Soll es das neue sein (mit Navi-DVD und MP3-Player), oder etwa das alte NAVIPlus?

Also von einem MP3-Player weiss ich nichts. Denkst du es wird einfach das vom A4 dort eingebaut und ab 2004 das neue mit MP3?
Weiss sonst noch jemand etwas ueber Navi plus und evtl. die MP3-Version?

Das neue Navi Plus soll angeblich, fast das gleiche sein, wie im A8. War ein Artikel in der letzten ams. Beschrieben wurde es mit MP-3 funktion sowohl CD als auch ein SD-Karten slot hintern Bildschirm. Ausserdem soll man DVD anschauen können. HAMMER. Hoffentlich wird es nicht zu teuer. 1500€ für das normale beim A3 find ich n bissl viel. Wenn man bedenkt dass mit dem neuen der Preis für ein Radio wegfällt wär ich schon bereit so ca. 2500E zu zahlen na ja mal abwarten...

The new Audi navigation system plus: Freedom for individual mobility
The new Audi radio navigation system plus will be added to the A3's optional extras programme early in 2004. Its DVD drive not only permits almost complete navigation on Western European roads, but also plays audio and MP3 CDs. The controls use the same clear logic as the Audi MMI already familiar from the A8. The integral double FM tuner ensures optimal radio reception, a convenient choice of stations and provision for dynamic navigation, using the TMC Traffic Message Channel even while listening to a different programme.
The speech-output route recommendations have been greatly extended and are now even more detailed. Together with the clear pictograms for visual route information on the central driver information system display, they form the highly praised basis for the Audi satellite navigation system, which was first introduced in 1996.
The entire operating concept is new, and uses the same consistent logical principles as the Audi MMI in the new Audi A8, to guarantee rapid, easy access.
The system's many new functions and possible settings can be selected intuitively in a most user-friendly way. This reduces the risk of being distracted during the journey, avoids adding to the driver's workload and enables him or her to concentrate as much as possible of the primary task of driving the car safely. A further advantage is that the driver does not have to study a lengthy set of operating instructions before being able to reach all the systems's varied functions.
The control panel, with the typical MMI square layout, is located to the right of the display screen. With its four control buttons and central control knob, it matches the display that is actually seen on the screen. Farther down, but equally easy to reach, is the large 'Return' button that returns the user to the previous menu level. Function keys below the screen provide direct access to the principal functions.
The 6.5-inch colour screen displays the road map and the visual route description; the Driver Information System converts this information into pictograms and combines it with further distance and time-of-arrival information.
The high-quality image on the large screen resembles a conventional road map: it not only shows the name of the road or street on which the car is currently being driven, but also the names of adjacent roads, towns and villages. If preferred, the new system can show the map in perspective, as a 'bird's eye view'.
The split-screen function is also new. It enables the map to be seen on the left half of the screen, with the right half devoted to useful additional information. For example, the realistic or schematic pattern of roads at a motorway junction, or - particularly important in city traffic - an enlarged view of the route the car is actually following. In addition, the system supplies information on the next three route recommendations, to make it easier to choose the correct traffic lane. The automatic multi-stage manoeuvre zoom also supplies the driver with precise, detailed information.
The new Audi navigation system plus offers the driver a selection of up to three different routes. The control knob can be used to select a short route, a fast route or an alternative route. These recommendations take traffic information messages, route length and estimated time of arrival into account. In addition to the final destination, up to three locations through the route should pass can be chosen. Traffic messages received by the twin tuner are displayed, automatically evaluated and taken into account when a route is recommended, with an alternative route being worked out if necessary. In addition, by pressing a button the TMC messages can be shown directly on the map in text form.
Other convenient functions are full scope for direct destination input from the map display by means of the cursor, address input starting with the street, use of the address book and even the input of destinations as telephone numbers or post codes.
In addition to the time of arrival at the chosen destination, the new navigation system plus can also display special destinations on motorways when the split-screen mode is in use, for example filling stations, leisure areas or parking lots on the next section of the route. In addition to the distance, the driver is also informed of the calculated time to reach these intermediate destinations.
As the new data storage element for the navigation system, DVD has a memory ten times larger than the conventional CD-ROM, and distinctly faster access times. Almost the entire Western European road network can be accommodated on a single DVD disc, so that irritation of having to change the CD when crossing a national border is avoided. Another bonus is that routes are calculated very much faster than with CD-based sysems. This will be seen when the map image is built up, and also when the zoom function is used.
The DVD is also capable of memorising many more special navigation destinations (points of interest). Locating a destination is therefore more convenient and quicker if the street name is not known. Among the generous range of special destinations in the new Audi navigation system plus are airports, parking lots, exhibition and event centres, museums, theatres, cinemas and shopping centres.
Behind the flat screen, which folds away electro-mechanically, there is the DVD drive and two additional memoorised memory card readers (MMC or SD format) with MP3 compatibility. Having these located directly at the system makes it easier and quicker to change from one data and music source to aanother.
The new Audi navigation system plus supports the Audi mobile phone preparation and the facilities provided on the multifunctional steering wheel, which is an optional extra. If required, the system can be upgraded by adding a CD changer, the BOSE sound system or an analog TV tuner.

Hi,
alles was in dem englischen Text steht, kann ich so bestätigen. Habe das Teil live auf der IAA gesehen und mir alles vorführen lassen. Preis soll bei rund 3000.- Euro liegen. Habe meinen A3 schon bestellt und Liefertermin Anfang November. Hätte das DVD Navi verdammt gerne, aber ich habe einfach keine Lust mehr noch länger zu warten, also werde ich mich eben mit Radio symphony und dem Standard-Navi zufrieden geben müssen.

Wow, dann hab ich wirklich das neue Navi drin.
Also: Ich habe kein Radio bestellt, das ist im Navi plus schon enthalten. (ist auch im Konfigurator so drin.)
Ein Handgrosses Display ist da auch enthalten auf dem die Landkarten gezeichnet werden und auf dem theoretisch auch Fernsehbilder angezeigt werden koennen.
TV-Modul hab ich jedoch nicht bestellt...
Mit BOSE-Sound war der Aufpreis dafür glaube ich 4600.- SFr.(habs grad nicht vor mir...). Das waeren ja genau etwa die 3000 Euronen.
Also ich hoffe wirklich der Händler behält Recht und es kommt im November. Drueckt mir die Daumen.

Nach etwas Nachforschung habe ich folgende Vermutung:
Das Navi plus das ich bekommen werde ist jenes das schon im alten A3 zur Anwendung kam, also CD-basiert.
Ich hoffe dies ist auch (fast) so gut wie das Neue? Hat jemand Erfahrung damit?
Bitte alle Infos die Ihr finden koennt hier rein posten, danke vielmals!
Altes Navi Plus
Mein Bruder hats in seinem Auto. Das ist eigentlich relativ gut.
Natürlich wird das neue um einiges besser sein als das alte da: das neue wird dvd basiert sein denke mal eine dvd für ganz europa, beim alten muss man sich alle cds einzeln kaufen und es wird natürlich mp3 unterstützen, was das alte auch nicht kann. Er meint jedoch das alte Navi sei relativ zuverlässig TV hats auch... Kann mir aber eigentlich nicht vorstellen, dass sie noch das alte Navi im neuen A3 verbauen weil der Aufbau der Mittelkonsole etwas anders ist als im alten. Naja warts mal ab, ich für meinen teil denke, dass su schon das neue bekommst oder der Händler hat sich vertan und es liegt bei der bestellung ein fehler vor. In der letzten ams jedenfalls wird über das neue Navi berichtet also kurz vor der IAA. Da auf der IAA ja auch die neue Technik vorgestellt wird kann es gut sein das jetzt bald schon das neue verbaut wird.
Wie würde es denn ablaufen wenn in der Bestellung ein Fehler vorliegen würde?
Wird das Auto dann trotzdem gebaut? Oder mit Verzögerung? Wie ist der Ablauf dann?

In der Preisliste steht aber für den Ambition ausdrücklich (wortwörtlich):
Navigationssystem Plus + BOSE Sound + Fahrerinformationssystem, inkl. CD-ROM CH (OHNE TV-EMPFANG), SFr. 4620.-
Hab ich jetzt also Pech und das Alte wird verbaut?
Vielleicht war ich ein bisschen voreilig und die Navi-Discs sind auch beim neuen Cds und keine DVDs bin mir aber ziemlich sicher, dass das neue DVD unterstütz jedenfalls als Videos.
Mit dem Fehler bin ich mir auch nicht mehr so sicher, denn wenn das so wäre, dann hätte sich der Händler schon bei dir gemeldet, oder??? Aber es kann natürlich auch sein, dass es erst auffällt wenn er aufs band kommt. Ruf am besten mal beim Händler an.
Ergänzung:
Hab mal im CH-Configurator nachgeschaut. Beim A4 ist das selbe Navi beschrieben wie im A3. Und ich weiß hundertprzentig, dass im A4 noch das alte eingebaut ist also kann es doch sein, dass du das alte bekommst...

das neue Navi funktioniert mit einer DVD. Der Audi-Typ auf der IAA hat mir auch gesagt, dass alte Navi könnte normalerweise nicht im neuen A3 verbaut werden, da der neue ein anderes Bus System hätte. Frag mich nicht was das ist. Ruf doch mal deinen Händler an und konfrontiere ihn mit der Aussage von dem Audi Mitarbeiter auf der IAA der gesagt hat es sein micht möglich dass das NAVI Plus in der Schweiz schon bestellt werden kann. Halte uns auf dem laufenden, ich hätte auch gerne das neue NaviPlus, würde mich also mal interessieren. Hat hier keiner das StandardNavi im neuen A3? Würde mich interessieren ob es nur eine CD für D hat oder ganz Europa.

Ich denke mal es ist so:
Altes Navi:
Funktioniert mit CD, jede CD fasst nur die Daten eines Landes.
Neues Navi:
Funktioniert mit DVD, enthält die Daten für ganz Europa (sehr praktisch!!!). Zusätzlich: MP3-Player, besseres Handling, grösseres Display, und anscheinend ein neuer System-Bus?
Und identisch mit dem im A8.
Wenn meine Vermutung nicht stimmt, bitte widersprechen und sagen wie es wirklich ist.
Wenn sie stimmt: Bitte bestätigen.
Nur, wenn der A3 das gleiche Bussystem haben soll wie der A8 würde er ja auch das neue Navi plus benötigen. (Und meine Bestellung würde dann entweder verzögert oder so gar nicht durchführbar sein.)
