Keine Angabe zum Ort des Anbieters, keine Kontaktadresse und auch sonst keine Infos, wer dahinter steckt. Ich bin mir ziemlich sicher, dass das ein Fake-Shop ist. Die Kohle wäre futsch.

Immerhin hat der Shop den richtigen Riecher für das, was der Volvowelt fehlt, sogar der V40 Cross Country ist dort einen eigenen Eintrag wert.

 

Doch ich vermute, eher kommt der Gaza-Streifen in den TUI-Katalog als dass es tatsächlich gedruckte Wartungs- und Repararurunterlagen zum V40 II gibt.

Ich bin erst mal vorsichtig. Darum ist es wichtig zu wissen wer das schon bestellt hat und beurteilen kann.

Die 12,95 € erscheinen mir etwas zu preisgünstig für ein echtes Handbuch. Normalerweise kostet so was

eher 50€ +. Das würde ich ausgeben, wenn's ein richtiges Manual wäre und nicht bloß eine schmalbrüstige

Broschüre.

Hab genau 1 Bewertung gefunden. Und die ist schlecht, angeblich hatte der download das falsche manual und dann reagiert keiner mehr. Von daher geringes Risiko, da nur 12,95, aber was will man dafür auch erwarten. Ergo nur so halb seriös ??. Ich würde es auch nicht kaufen

The only place you are likely to find extensive repair and service information is within VIDA. I notice that the site mentioned are selling a copy of VIDA 2014D for UKP20, but you can download it for free from some sites, and you can obtain a pre-configured running copy as a virtual machine image from VolvoDiag.com for USD5 (the site owner makes a small charge to cover the bandwidth costs of running and servicing her website).

Or buy it as a bootable USB SSD that you can boot into on any computer from SVDNS at https://svdns.info/bootgo/

Yes, the people selling pre-configured versions charge for having done all the hard work configuring it. If you download it for free you have to set it up yourself and it is not exactly straightforward.

It is old Volvo diagnostic software that covers vehicles up to 2015 model year, but because the V40 was introduced in 2012, much of the V40 is covered in repair procedures and vehicle information. And there are at least 3 variants of the newer VEA engine covered, so whilst it might not explicitly cover your version of those engines, they are all essentially similar for the majority of servicing and repair purposes.

With a suitable vehicle communications interface (Volvo DiCE or a Mongoose Pro clone) you can use it as a diagnostic tool also, but if you just want the service and repair information you don't have to connect it to your car, just look up and if required print the information as and when needed.

Since 2015 the newer version of VIDA is only hosted on Volvo's own servers, and in Europe only VAT registered repair workshops vetted by Volvo and willing to pay access cost are allowed to use it. Whilst some basic information appears in other commercial diagnostic software such as Autodata or Haynes Pro, you won't find anything else as comprehensive as VIDA.
