Audi Q5 Keyless Go retrofit
I am gathering / purchasing the parts needed for Keyless Go for retrofitting purposes and I have one question.
Currently my Key has part - number 8T0959754D which means PR-5D7 (868MHz).
My VIN is WAUZZZ8R79A027XXX.
CDNC Audi Q5.
I believe my Key does not have Keyless Go or Convenience Entry capability.
Does anyone know what is the latest compatible convenience Key for Keyless Go / Keyless Entry compatible with comfort unit 8K0907064CQ (PR-5D7)??
Thanks

CDNC Audi Q5
Ich glaube, mein Key hat keine Keyless Go oder Convenience Entry Fähigkeit.
Wer weiß, was ist die neuesten kompatiblen Komfort Key für Keyless Go / Keyless Entry kompatibel mit Komfort-Einheit 8K0907064CQ (PR-5D7)?
Vielen Dank
Questions:
1. Replacement key: 8K0 959 754 D TKE is it compatible with Keyless go?? Does it have 2 transmitters?
2. Which keyless Go (with 2 transponders) key is recommended by ETKA for my Q5??
You have to buy a new key at Audi with your VIN. Audi sells only keyless go keys.
Thanks for your reply.
Audi wants to sell me the following key:
8T0 959 754 D TKE. Is it keyless entry / Go compatible??? (I think it 8T not 8K but I am not 100% sure)
What is the difference wtih 8T0 959 754 D which I have?
Can you please help me remove the confusion I have.

Should I not be concerned?? Just purchase??
8T0 959 754 D is not for keyless, it was sent with your car. I think he means 8K0 959 754 D. 8T0 959 754 D is not available. It's replaced in 8T0959754K (keyless go) and this is replaced in 8K0959754D (keyless go)
Excellent
Thank you. You have convinced me.
I will go for it
Cheers for the help.
1. Does anyone know if I can install just the keyless Go (start stop button) with just one antenna at the center console (without installing the other 3 antennas, or the 4 sensors).
2. Also if the answer is no I need 4 antennas, do I also need to install the 4 sensors too??
Is there a minimum combination ??
Any knowledge for the above questions? I am mostly interested for the keyless Go (start stop button).
Thanks
if you have a "clear" (new) comfort unit 8K0907064CQ, it will work with 2 antennas: center console and trunk...
you can code ECU 5 as "keyless" and you will see how many antennas the BCM want.
Thank you. I will purchase the new comfort unit 8K0907064CQ because my comfort unit is not compatible with Keyless (no extra slots) and will ask dealer to set it up using the SVM code.
Do you know what is the correct installation procedure of hardware and programming?? Is there a TPI for this retrofit?
e.g.
1. Install the 2 antennas and wiring for keyless Go (center console and trunk)
2. Install the new comfort unit at the trunk and connect all wiring including step 1 above at the dealer?
3. Program the comfort unit 46 and 05 Acc/Start Auth at the dealer?
4. Program the new Key at the dealer?
Is this the correct procedure? Is there a TPI for new comfort unit and advance Key retrofit?
Could something go wrong and I loose the Keyless capability of new comfort control unit? Can I later add the rest of the antennas and door sensors if I choose to??
Cheers.
1. drive to Audi, take all keys with you!
2. ODIS: GFS Change ECU (GFS Steuergerät ersetzen)
2. install the new comfort ECU - the car can't be started!
3. Take ODIS "repairing immobilizer" with one key (GFS Wegfahrsperre instandsetzen), then learn the other keys
4. SVM Code XCHG46A001 to parameterize the ECU (now the back light will work correctly
You can install the antennas before or after the ECU is changed. There is no TPI/TSB
To code keyless you have to use VCDS.
Perfect Thanks for this information. Much appreciated.
Today I installed the 4 handle sensors 4G8 927 753 (just in case I enable them in the future)
I have not installed any magnets, however in the handle case diagram there is a magnet.
I attach a picture.
See part 8.
Should I install all 4 magnets or I should not install any magnet? The sensor I used is the newest: 4G8 927 753.
From the parts diagram it says:
8T0 837 343 magnets x4 (front and rear doors)
D } - MJ 2011 use only in conjunction with
8K0 927 753.A
8K0 927 753.B
So I am not sure if I should install the magnets. I have the latest part no. Does the new sensor 4G8 927 753 work without magnets?
Thanks.
Not to worry. I will buy 4 magnets and install them just to be sure. This is the least of my worries. Kessy key was ordered.
Thanks for helping me out.

To tranlsate in German for the 4 handle sensors part: 4G8 927 753 do I need to install the 4 handle magnets? I am questioning this because it is not clear in the parts diagram where it mentions that magnets are only used with older part number 8K0 927 753.A or 8K0 927 753.B, unless I did not understand the diagram.
However I have ordered the 4 magnets just to be sure.
