Hello everyone..
My son has a F22 and he has bought an M2 steeringwheel , the steeringwheel is already mounted and all the buttens are working . Now are there stil 2 buttons on the M steeringwheel M1 and M2 buttons ,and he read someware on a forum that these buttons kan be programmed like the M1 button to put the car in sport mode and the M2 to shut down the traction controle.. But there are more options to use the buttons for ,on that forum you can code the car so you get a menu in the Idrive where you can choose with funtion you can give these buttons.
Is there anyone that has this done on his car , or is ther someone who knows what has to be code to get this function in the Idrive menu?

These buttons can not be used in a F22 since the iDrive does not have the menu to configure them. Best is to put blind caps in there. Still looks nice.
Since the drive modes are different (M2 has no Eco Pro mode or Sport+ mode) I guess even if you would upgrade the iDrive to M2 Comp or M2 CS level, it would not work.
There is a kit you can buy that makes the buttons work (Search: functional m buttons bmw f-series). You can then use them to change the driving mode. But they can only do that and cannot be programmed with other functions. Costs about 140$.
